This is the view outside my kitchen window a few moments ago. See the grey at the bottom of the photo? That's the sidewalk. At one point, Mama Deer was directly under the window; I could just barely see her butt if I looked straight down. Yes, they're eating some decorative plants, but that's the price of building a house and planting ornamentals on someone else's native terrain.
